Zero-waste

At Urvashi Kaur, we harness the power of restoration by reimagining vintage Indian textiles through our  Renew Project. Discarded, damaged, or forgotten saris are carefully upcycled using restorative techniques like rafu and patchwork. This process is more than just repair; it fosters a dialogue between India’s rich past and modern design, weaving together stories of time, memory, and heritage.

Every piece transforms into a narrative, as heirloom brocades and tussar leheriya and silk tissue scraps find new life in contemporary silhouettes. By embracing flaws and imperfections, we honor their history while creating something meaningful and enduring.

Our philosophy redefines the value of what is often considered waste, by promoting repair and renewal we offer a second life to saris on the brink of being discarded. We invite our patrons to be part of this journey by bringing in their heirloom textiles, allowing us to preserve their memories and stories by crafting them into something extraordinary.

By turning imperfections into timeless collectibles, we challenge the culture of disposability and advocate for a circular approach to fashion. This vision reflects our deep commitment to sustainability and a zero-waste ethos.
